Several containers were damaged but did not fall into the sea. The ship has a capacity of 8,100TEU and serves the trans-Pacific Pacific North 4 Service (PN4) route.

On July 13, the 9411TEU container ship "MSC Palak" sailed out of Wuguola Port near Port Elizabeth, Eastern Cape. Due to strong storms and rains in the sea at the time, it was confirmed that 23 containers fell into the water. .

On May 24, the container ship "APL ENGLAND" encountered severe weather while sailing in Australian waters. It was reported that 50 containers fell into the water and 63 containers were damaged.
