Starting from August 30, the surcharge for express service from mainland China and Hong Kong to the United States has increased from US$0.79 per pound to US$1.02, an increase of 29%;

The express service surcharge increased from US$0.75 per pound to US$0.98, an increase of 31%;

The express freight surcharge increased from US$1.59 per pound to US$1.81, an increase of 14%.

Surcharges from China to Europe have soared:
Following the increase in tariffs on June 28, from September 20, the peak season surcharges from mainland China and Hong Kong to 19 European countries will be substantially increased.

Among them, the express service surcharge increased from 0.66 Euro per kilogram to 1.11 Euro, an increase of 68%;

The express service surcharge increased from 0.58 Euro per kilogram to 1.02 Euro, an increase of 76%;

The express freight surcharge increased from 2.21 Euros per kilogram to 2.65 Euros, an increase of 20%.

Asia Pacific to U.S. surcharge triples
From August 30, UPS has substantially increased the peak season business surcharges for Australia, New Zealand and other Asia-Pacific countries (including Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore and the Philippines) to the United States.

Among them, the express service surcharge increased from US$0.11 per pound to US$0.34, an increase of more than twice;

DHL Express increases U.S. freight rates
DHL Express, the air and ground express division of German transportation and logistics giant Deutsche Post DHL, said on Friday that from January 1, 2021, US freight rates will increase by 4.9%.
